The Public House Perth is the newest Perth bar and restaurant for the Publican Group (The George, Wolf Lane and The Aviary) and is located in the Durack centre near the intersection of Adelaide Tce/Victoria Avenue. This is across the road from The Duxton Hotel. This new bar/restaurant caters for all things South American, drawing on the influences of countries such as Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. As you can guess, the food specialises in smoked and pulled meats, empanadas/croquettes (little pockets of goodness), and ceviche.
On VIP opening night last Thursday ahead of the public opening, the food served included pulled beef rib rolls, ceviche and fried croquettes and chicken wings. Drinks on offer included freshly made caipirinhas and the best Argentinian Malbec in WA – a perfect compliment to the beef.
Opening night was a packed out affair with every corner of the room taken, the Public House offers a number of distinct areas including high tables and bar style seating, a sit down restaurant and is complimented with a balcony area for stand up drinks. A private dining room is also available. The Public House Perth opens 12pm Thursday 21 November.
